Across Africa, thousands of men and women dedicate significant portions of their lives to serving their countries and communities through the military, police, intelligence services, fire and rescue services, correctional institutions, customs, immigration, emergency management, and other uniformed professions.
Their service often demands discipline, sacrifice, courage, leadership, integrity and an unwavering commitment to the public good. Yet, for many uniformed professionals, the transition from active service to civilian life presents a significant challenge.
The Beyond the Uniform Africa Summit is a high-level platform for reflection, transition, leadership development, entrepreneurship, networking and collaboration among current and former uniformed professionals, policymakers, business leaders, academics, development practitioners and other stakeholders.
